Q: Do I need a referral to see Dr.Hall ?

A: Yes, new patients will need a referral from their GP to see Dr.Hall.

If you are an existing patient but haven’t scheduled an appointment

in the last 6 months, you may need to be referred again.

Q: What should I bring to my appointment ?

A: Please note, masks are mandatory.

You’ll also want to bring:

  • your current eye glasses

  • a list of current medications

  • a pair of sunglasses (incase of temporary light sensitivity)

Q: How long will my appointment be ?

A: Appointment and wait times vary depending on what we have you booked in for.

Please plan to be here for 1- 2 hours.

In certain cases, visits may exceed this time frame.

Q: What kind of tests will be done on my eyes ?

A: To properly assess your eyes, we may do images and scans of the eye.

Most patients find these tests pain-free.

Q: Will my eyes be dilated ?

A: Your eyes may be dilated for testing purposes.

We recommend patients arrange a ride home, as this may affect your comfort and vision for up to 4 hours.

During this time you may also find your eyes become sensitive to light.

For this reason, we recommend bringing sunglasses along.

The dilating drops do not cause pain, they simply dilate the eye which helps with testing.

Q: Do you do laser eye surgery ?

A: Some of our patients have conditions requiring laser treatment,

which we provide at the clinic.

We do not do LASIK at this clinic, and would be happy to refer you.
